    Antigay pastor and wife arrested after he’s busted for luring kids with candy then molesting them

    An Indiana pastor accused of child molestation and his doting wife were both arrested this week.
    72-year-old Garry Evans is, er, was the pastor of the Rushville Baptist Temple in Rushville, Indiana where he regularly preached about the evils of homosexuality for nearly three decades.
    Last October, he was arrested after several girls from his church, all under the age of 10, told their parents he had lured them into his office with candy then touched them inappropriately. Evans made bond as was released from custody.

    My husband and I have been happily together for 39 years and never one touched a child inappropriately or ever once had the urge to, but we have been demonized by church leaders and religious family members as immoral for being openly gay and simply loving one another.
    Now I am in my 60s and with years of brevity behind me and think it is indeed one of life’s strange repeating patterns that so many so called “religious leaders” , are directing their hypocritical hate speech on the LGBTQ, purposely to deflect and to hide the fact that they are the ones with the sick sexual hang ups…

    well said! I HATE how these religious zealots point the finger at LGBT like we’re all child molesters! Although we have moved on significantly in the last 20yrs in the UK so we don’t really get much of that anymore……but it never fails to shock me when I see some of the American religious nuts spewing their venom……ESPECIALLY politicians, jeeez they would never be elected over here for ANY discriminatory rhetoric…..or religious rhetoric come to think of it.
